  ONLINE HOW TO MAKE VIDEOS INFORMATION:

Media College. Free tutorials, references, resources, and forums on electronic media production. There are lessons on "Video", "Audio", "Photography", "Graphics", "Computer", "Internet", and "Equipment" There are a number of free downloads, including a "Talent Release Form", "TV Production Application with Budget Summary", and "US Copyright Application Form PA" under Forms, in the "Downloads" link at the top of the page. Visitors with questions for other electronic media production workers can go to "Forums", at the top of the page, to become involved with a community of like-minded individuals.

New Media - Free Courses Online. The BBC provides guides and modules that, in some cases is technical, there are many that provide basic operating procedures on basic media production for TV, Radio, and Broadcast Technology. Students will benefit from the sage advice contained within these various modules.

Video Guide: Video production is no easy feat. If an individual is not familiar with the appropriate video technology, the taping session may be a waste of time. It is wise to do some research on getting clean camera shots, angles, and movements. As well, most audio-video equipment is expensive. Using the equipment improperly could damage the products whether it be a camera, microphone, or lighting structure.   FREE SOFTWARE RESOURCES:

AbiWord. This is a free word processing program similar to Microsoft® Word. It is suitable for a wide variety of word processing tasks.

Open Office. The leading open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common computers.

Gimp: Photo Editing Software. GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems.

Audacity. A free, easy-to-use audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems.

HyperEngine-AV. Video editing software is now free, complete with full source code. Users can capture, arrange, edit and process video, audio and text in a free-form, trackless document, to create movies and slide shows

VirtualDub. A video capture/processing utility for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows platforms (98/ME/NT4/2000/XP/Vista/7), licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). It lacks the editing power of a general-purpose editor but is streamlined for fast linear operations over video. It has batch-processing capabilities for processing large numbers of files and can be extended with third-party video filters. VirtualDub is mainly geared toward processing AVI files, although it can read (not write) MPEG-1 and also handle sets of BMP images.

Inkscape. An Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format


NVU. A complete Web Authoring System for Linux Desktop, Microsoft Windows and Macintosh users to rival programs like FrontPage and Dreamweaver. Nvu (pronounced N-view, for a "new view") makes managing a web site a snap. Now anyone can create web pages and manage a website with no technical expertise or knowledge of HTML.
